Licensing Framework
ActiveEffective June 2024Colorado Natural Medicine Health Act (Proposition 122) legalized psilocybin and psilocin for supervised use at licensed healing centers. The Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) is developing regulations. Personal cultivation and use by adults 21+ is also permitted. DMT, ibogaine, and mescaline (non-peyote) will become regulated in 2026.
What's Allowed
- •Licensed healing centers (in development)
- •Personal cultivation and use of psilocybin/psilocin (adults 21+)
- •Facilitated sessions at licensed centers (beginning 2025)
Not Allowed
- •Commercial sale of psilocybin products
- •Unlicensed healing centers
- •Use by individuals under 21
